My name is María Sarria, I am 16 years old and I am currently coursing junior year at Gimnasio La Montaña in Bogotá, Colombia's capital city. I am vice-president in one of the main political activities at my school called Congreso Joven, in which young people get together 4 days to discuss about the main problems of our country. I am also part of the Student Council, school musical and school band. This makes me a very committed person.
I have one brother who is currently studying in France, and with him and my parents we share many interests like traveling, specially together. We love visiting places that are not so common like Egypt or Thailand. A year ago we had a trip to South East Asia in which we learned a lot about different cultures. This helps me have a very wide view of the world, what it needs and what I can give to it.
I enjoy playing soccer, taking photographs and meeting new people with ideas and thoughts different than mine because I think that closed minds are the reason why people nowadays have more problems.
